When should I stop swaddling my baby and transition?
Irrespective of which swaddling method you use, you must stop swaddling your baby as soon as he or she starts to show signs of being able to roll over independently. At this time, you must transition your baby out of swaddling into 'arms-free' sleeping. Your baby's arms should not be restricted when they are able to roll over - this advice is the same for any form of swaddling you may be using. Around this time, you baby's startle reflex should have diminished. The Swaddle Up™ Transition Bag/Suit is a great way to prepare your baby for the transition from being swaddled to 'arms-free' independent sleep.

What's the easiest way to transition my baby?
Transitioning a baby from swaddling to arms-free sleep with the Love To Dream™ Transition Bag is simple. Start by unzipping one wing to let one arm out while keeping the other arm swaddled. After a few nights, if your baby seems comfortable, unzip the second wing to allow both arms out. Use the Transition Bag consistently for all naps and nighttime sleep. Be patient, as every baby adjusts at their own pace. Once your baby sleeps well with both arms free, you can consider moving to a regular Sleep Bag, indicating a successful transition.
What is a TOG?
A TOG Rating is a number which tells you how warm a garment will keep your baby. The higher the number, the warmer your little one will be when wearing the garment. This means higher TOG ratings keep your baby warm during colder winter months, while lower TOG ratings keep your baby cool in the hotter summer season. What size Swaddle Up™ Transition Bag should I buy?
For best fit result please select your Transition Bag sizing according to your child's weight not their age. The Swaddle Up™ Transition Bag/Suit range is available in three sizes: Medium (Suitable for 6-8.5kg), Large (Suitable for 8.5-11kg) and Extra Large (Suitable for 11-14kg).
How many Swaddle Up™ Transition Bags should I buy?
We recommend that you purchase at least two in the appropriate size. If you own two, then one can be in the wash while your baby is wearing the other one. It might even be helpful to consider having a third on hand to use in case of emergencies.
